Piping Engineering & Building Services Training

Course 1: Piping Engineering & Building Services

Institute of Piping Engineering & Building Services - Process Piping Design & Engineering per ASME B31.3 training course program is the complete answer key to ASME B31.3 Pressure Piping Code, Upon completion of the training course the participant shall be a complete ASME Code Professional.

The Piping Design & Engineering Training course program offered @ Spectramind is integrated with Process Plant Layout & Equipments, Oil & Gas Pipeline Design per ASME B31.4 / B 31.8, Piping Stress Analysis , Process Piping Drafting, Liquid Pipeline Hydraulics, & Fire Safety Piping.

Process Piping is the piping that convey fluids under pressure or vaccum inside the boundaries of a Chemical plant, Petroleum refinery, Gas Processing plant, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Textile, Paper, Semiconductor & Cryogenic Plants falls under the scope of ASME B 31.3

It is a complex arrangement of pipes, valves, support clamps, other related components and control instrumentation.

The Training Course Program focusses from fundamentals of Process Piping Systems to Piping Design to Component Design to Flexibility Analysis to Stress Analysis to Fabrication, Inspection, Maintenance, Testing and Repair with Exposure to Industry Leading Pipe Stress Analysis Softwares and Process Piping Drafting.

ASME B 31.3 Provides requirements for design, erection, materials, inspection, fabrication, testing for process piping in Petroleum refineries, chemical plants, pharmaceutical plants, textile plants, paper plants, Semiconductor Plants, Cryogenic Plants process plant

This course includes theoretical and practical classes for Refinery Piping, Cross Country Pipeline and related activities. Clear explanation is made to read, communicate and supervise piping activities using Piping drawings such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), Isometric Drawings, Equipment Drawings, and General arrangement Drawings (GAD). Selection of piping material as per drawing, Pipe fabrication, Fit- up, Welding, Hydro test, Erection and other supervisory activities are also included. It is well proved that other than Mechanical Enginees/ Diploma holders, even BSc, BA and B Com graduates develops their career in the technical fields and take independent responsibilities in piping and pipeline construction activities at initial time and gradually take charges
in the Welding, NDT and other fields also.

Course 2: Oil Pipelines Design & Engineering per ASME B31.4

The Program is designed to provide knowledge and expertise for design of cross country pipelines for liquid petroleum and related products. It focuses on the fundamentals of pipeline design, emphasizing practical guidelines for real systems.
It provides a overview of the system approach to design, which integrates the hydraulic, mechanical, and operations and maintenance aspects in the design of a system, & Stress analysis along with project economic analysis, in determining the preferred pipeline system.

This program specifically addresses oil transportation systems as covered by the ASME B31.4 Code—Pipeline Transportation Systems for Liquid Hydrocarbons and Other Liquids.

Course 3: Gas Distribution & Transmission per ASME B31.8

This program is designed to provide knowledge and expertise for the transport and distribution of gas by pipelines and piping systems. With reference to Section B31.8 of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Code for Pressure Piping, Gas Transmission and Distribution Piping Systems.

It focuses on Codes & Standards, Piping Design, Route Selection, Distribution, Fitting and Valves, Inspection & Testing, Opearation & Maintenance.
