The Continua Health Alliance: has created standards to ensure interoperability between applications / medical hardware to deliver personal and individual healthcare. These include devices like BP apparatuses, glucometers, pulsoxymeters, weighing machines, etc. Connectivity is carried out using industrial standards like Bluetooth, ZigBee, USB. IEEE11073 PHD and HL7. Therefore, creating Continua based stands requires deep implementable knowledge of HL7.
Training or use of the standard requires legal purchase of the standard/membership. This component rather than being a training will be looked at as a project.
The process would be to (a) train in HL7 then (b) legally purchase the standard for use and (c) HCitC works with your team to train on and implement the Continua standard.
